To honor, reward and thank Dental Assistants or organizations making significant contributions to the dental profession and to the health of patients, the MDAA offers five different annual awards and a scholarship. The MDAA (Michigan Dental Assistants Association) recognized My Community Dental Centers for our commitment, recognition, and promotion of the dental assisting profession!

Giving Back

Giving back is an opportunity for team members to experience purpose, belonging, and camaraderie at work.

At MCDC, we are all about community and keeping people in the heart of all we do. We made it easier in 2022 for our mission-minded team members to serve their local communities. Our team members volunteered to lend a helping hand to a cause or charity of their choosing, including Keep Genesee County Beautiful Community Event, Morning Food Packing @ South Michigan Food Bank, Grand Rapids Water Protectors Beach Clean up, National Night Out, Ore to Shore, Adopt-a-Highway (State of Michigan) and more.

In 2022, Grand Rapids Magazine named Dr. Eric Cao and Dr. John Zona as a part of West Michigan’s Top Dentists. The recognition is peer-nominated and highlights providers devoted to providing the best possible care. Both Dr. Cao and Zona are deserving of recognition for their outstanding service, contribution and long-standing commitment as collaborative dental providers leading our Kentwood Center.
