Indiana Medicaid

For lower income families finding top quality dental care can be a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be. With Indiana Medicaid, you can receive good quality care and regular checkups that will keep your family’s teeth and gums healthy and your smile bright.

Dental Services Included in Indiana Medicaid

If you qualify for Medicaid in Indiana, you will find that dental services for the state of Indiana are provided through the Hoosier Healthwise system and come automatically with your other covered services under Medicaid.

There is a wide range of services that are covered and these include the following:

  • Your very first oral exam.
  • Oral exams every six months
  • Emergency exams
  • X-Rays – this includes a complete set every three years and a bite-wing every twelve months.
  • Teeth cleaning twice a year to age twenty-one
  • Silver fillings for back teeth and white fillings for front teeth
  • Tooth extractions
  • Fluoride treatments twice a year to age nineteen

Other procedures may be covered as well, and if you are unsure, you can always give us a call at MCDC. Our staff is always up to date with the latest rules and regulations for Indiana Medicaid and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

It is also important to know that here at MCDC we have other programs that can help you pay for dental treatment that Indiana Medicaid does not cover, so you should never allow finances to stand in the way of a healthy smile.

We make it our goal to provide dental services to as many people as possible regardless of their current financial situation, so the best way to determine your out of pocket costs is to contact us. On your first visit, we can put a plan together depending on your dental needs. This will ensure you receive the best and most affordable treatment possible.

In addition to regularly scheduled dental visits and procedures, sometimes a dental emergency happens. If this occurs, there is no need to wait and suffer through the pain. Indiana Medicaid does cover dental emergencies and we will arrange to see you as soon as possible.

To learn more about Indiana Medicaid or MCDC, give us a call today. We can help you with all of your oral health needs and keep you and your family’s smile looking good and you feeling good. Your wellbeing is our top priority.
